This time for Africa (8)

It has been a while since I have posted designs as I have been in Kenya for two weeks. I spent ages trying to decide how to do my nails, and when I finally thought of using safari colours to make an animal print pattern I find out what my least used colours are! .. so with them gone off I was reverted to using my pink and white instead! But hey I saw some zebras and leopards/cheetahs to match my nails so I am happy! :)

Bow nails

Woops, havn't posted in a while, been away for two weeks! This design was from a while ago but thought i should share! Cute little bow nails to match with my new pink top!

Colour block nails!

So I started with this plain design, two tone colours and decided to mix it up a little with leopard print and I guess you would call them silver studs? Hope you like them! :)

pretty floral nails..

Oh, my, days, i absolutely love floral print and  after much research on nail art designs, from roses, tulips, polka dots, stripes, vintage, retro, I finally came up with my own little arrangement!! I assumed these would be difficult to achieve but they are so simple and look fab!

mix up manicure!

So I was a little bored of always having zebra, or stripes or leopard print nails so decided to mix it up a bit. Using my favourite BarryM nail polish, colour 318, Peach Melba. I have done this funky, girly manicure which I love!!

Colour block lace bow nail 'attempt'

As I usually do when I am bored for ideas I search the web for nail ideas and came across Meliney youtube channel, for a tutorial on colour blocking lace/bow nails! I thought they looked really cute and as I was wearing a pink top that day, went really well!

pastel blue polka dots ...

I am loving pastel colours at the moment and was thinking, what design could I do that incorporates my new BarryM 'Blue Moon' shade into a french manicure design. So I came up with this!

Sunset summer nails!

My attempt of sunset palm tree nails! I have a bit of a shaky hand so the trees aren't perfect but i love the background. I used a sponge and the three main colours layered to create it. :)

Nautical nails!

So, hi there sailor! ;) .. Tried out these sea inspired nautical nails today. It was kind of a rushed job so no straight lines for me, but it kind of gives it an aged and weathered by the sea look... (excuses). I shall try these again soon and post a much better picture.. promise!

new nail design!

So, I swear I change my nails more often thatn I change my underwear.. okay, that's a lie, that would be gross! But I have to admit that I am a bit of a nail-a-holic! So, a few weeks ago I discovered konad nail art, which is basically stamps for your nails, pretty cool! I was looking for designs for inspiration and found this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZgNsehCQJM on channel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, all credit to her, no copyright intended! I didn't think this design needed changing so here is my attempt! I used a different floral stamp as I didn't have the same but think it works just aswell!

Ignore my strange little finger!

Here is all my supplies I used! I absolutely LOVE the peachy pink colour, fab for spring/summer and will definitely go into my autumn colour palette too!

I think it looks quite cute without the flowers too!

Cute zebra nails with coral tip!

summer nails!

One of my favourite nail designs for summer is watermelon, I got the idea from http://www.google.co.uk/imgresq=watermelon+nail&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1366&bih=673&tbm=isch&tbnid=2XRI85g1wSTJlM:&imgrefurl=http://article.wn.com/view/2011/07/11/Watermelon_nail_design_how_to/&docid=Pt3sEptkgcXJbM&imgurl=http://i.ytimg.com/vi/vMkMcvdo48g/0.jpg&w=480&h=360&ei=cZ03UIaoKpD6sgbV8oHoDA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1064&vpy=364&dur=3760&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=87&ty=169&sig=109987914085602176457&page=2&tbnh=142&tbnw=183&start=18&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:11,s:18

but adapted it slightly in my own way! I love playing with colours, sometimes I use pastel and other times I use brights. Here I used two types of green and originally two pinks! Sorry for the poor quality picture.. still yet to find a better camera!
Matching nails/fruit!

Aztec nails!

So I am new to this blogging thing but thought it would be nice to start sharing some of my nail designs, I regularly get inspired by other bloggers designs and I know mine are nowhere near is good but hey, you got to start somewhere! This is a design from a few months ago now. Loved all the Aztec prints on clothes in all the shops so decided it was time nails got with the trend! Simple to do and look pretty cute too!
